Situated deep in the heart of the South Wales Valleys, in the shadow of the Arael Mountain, is picturesque Abertillery Park offering the community sport and recreation facillities of a very high standard.  Sports facilities in the park accommodate Abertillery cricket, bowls, and rugby teams, and also host football matches of both local and regional significance. Matches played on the "main field" can be watched by spectators from the 750 seat grandstand.
For recreational users facilities include, an on site café, childrens play area and the park is also part of the Ebbw Fach walking and cycling trail. 
Dog walkers are welcome in the park but are excluded from the sports pitch grassed areas.
The park also hosts the internationally recognised Abertillery Blues Festival, held annually in July each year, which attracts Blues Artists from around the globe.
