Claregate Playing Fields is a neighbourhood park that serves the local communities in Claregate and Aldersley. The site was originally purchased by the local residents who wanted a local park as part of their community.The park is surrounded on three sides by residential properties with a main road running along the fourth. The main entrance to the park is from Knights Crescent which is accessed from the residential area.

The park has many facilities including a pavilion with changing rooms a community room and toilets, 2 football pitches, 1 cricket pitch, a play area, 5-a-side football, tennis/netball courts, open space and seating. It is well used and maintained by the local community.
