Managing organisation:
Goathland Community Hub & Sports Pavilion C.I.O

Goathland Community Hub & Sports Pavilion C.I.O was formed in 2014 to develop a village playing/sports field, sports pavilion and community hub for the use of the inhabitants and the general public on land abutting the village cricket field parallel to The Old Railway Line. The line is a public bridleway and where some twelve English Oak trees were planted in 1920 by Mrs Kate Smailes in memory of the twelve men from the village who paid the ultimate price in the Great War one of whom was her son George. The development is ongoing with the land purchased, planning and building consents in place.
