Long Bennington Village Playing Field, Main Road, Long Bennington, North Lincolnshire, NG23 5DJ

Managing organisation:
Long Bennington Parish Council

The 5-acre Playing Field site located on the northern approach to Long Bennington, from the A1, was donated to the parish council by a local land-owner in the early 70s. The field, and its facilities, is managed and maintained by the playing field managment  (PFMC).  Over the last 40 years the site has been developed, by the PFMC, using money raised from grants and a range of local fundraising activities. Facilities on the playing field include: 2 tennis courts with an artificial surface; a free access multi-use games area; a large sports hall and pavilion; a self contained bowls club; a large selection of children's play equipment. The grass surface can accommodate a range of football pitches (5,7 and 11-a-side). Further, the field and pavilion, which includes a disabled toilet, both have disabled access; whilst the play equipment includes a specially designed disabled swing and there is provision to bowl for individuals with limited disabilities.
