Harling Parish Council
East Harling war memorial stands on the memorial green adjoining Church Road. The Celtic cross is made of Cornish light grey granite, the front face bearing a cross, hilt uppermost, in relief. The cross stands upon a pyramidal plinth which bears the names of 36 men who fell in World War I, on the front, right and left faces, in alphabetical order, but with no other details as to rank or unit. On the rear face are similarly listed the names of 12 more who fell in World War II.
Memorial green has two benches and is used annually during remembrance day services and is classed as the Village Green and a focal point for those visiting. The green is used as a place to sit and watch the world go by.
