This unique and picturesque space is set on three levels with paths at the top and middle, grassed slopes and a plateau area at the bottom. There is a memorial bench and the space extends to the edge of the Kyle of Sutherland with magnificent views.
The war memorial was unveiled on 28th February 1923 and features a Highland solider in bonnet and kilt with rifle resting at ease set on a stone plinth and stepped base. Listed are the names of 46 people from the area who fell during World War I, categorised by their home village. The space has undergone significant restoration in recent years and routinely wins its category in the Best Kept War Memorial Highlands and Islands competition.
