Methil Memorial Park is an open green space in an accessible location with ample seating and excellent views over the Firth of Forth.
The park was gifted to the people of Methil in 1921 by the Wemyss Estate in memory of those who fell during World War I and contains a 23-foot high war memorial which was unveiled to a huge crowd in November 1922 by Admiral of the Fleet Lord Wester Wemyss. The stone base contains the names of the 336 local men who fell in World War I, below a uniformed Royal Highlander standing at ease with his rifle and wearing a kilt and bonnet.
