Peckham Rye Park is the understated jewel in the London Borough of Southwark's crown and is a Green Flag Award winning site. Located in the south of the borough and serving the neighbourhoods of Peckham, East Dulwich and Nunhead it provides a green oasis in the busy urban environment. The park was restored in 2005 with the help of a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund. The park offers quiet areas, formal and informal recreation spaces, a small lake, football fields, a skatepark, two play areas, meadows and woodlands and a very successful outdoor gym. There is also a cafe located near the car park. Peckham Rye Park does indeed provide something for everyone. It is easily accessible on foot, by public transport, by bicycle and by car. Maps and signposts will help you find your way around.
