The Rose Garden is located towards the southern end of Pickering Park and is a memorial space with seating.
Pickering Park was officially opened on 13th July 1911 and during World War I became a refuge for Hull people, who went there to escape the Zeppelins and bombs which heavily targeted Hull. The land which forms the space was donated by Victorian philanthropist Mr Christopher Pickering to the City of Hull in 1910.
