Rivacre Valley covers an area of countryside over 300 acres that is situated on the edge of the industrial town of Ellesmere Port and is ideal for quiet walks, watching wildlife and picnicing. A network of paths and trails lead you through old woodlands, colurful meadows and along the meandering brook being able to cross at a number of locations. There are wooden sculptures dotted around and there was once  to an open air swimming pool dubbed the pool in the garden. There is a ranger office which has disabled access and toilet facilities where also a number of environmental events and activities take place. Rivacre Brook runs the length of the park and kingfishers can be seen with the  small fishes that it supports. The wooded areas once formed part of the Royal Forest of Wirral with the slopes that are covered by beautiful carpets of bluebell late April.
