Seaview Park sits on the edge of Llantwit Major and is a grassed open space for local residents including a number of benches. It was gifted to the people of the town in October 1977 on the understanding it was to be retained as an open space.
At the end of World War II many residents of Llantwit Major gave a shilling toward the refurbishment of the town’s War Memorial Cross. On completion there was money left so it was decided to have memorial gates made to remember those who had lost their lives in both World Wars. These were made by the local RAF station, St Athan, and after a number of years in storage erected at the entrance of Seaview Park. To commemorate the centenary of World War I, Llantwit Major Town Council had the gates refurbished in 2014.
