Brindle Community Hall is on the site of the historic Brindle Parish Institute, the idea for which stemmed from the request of several local men returning from World War I (which claimed 17 men from the village) who wanted to have a place of recreation 'to fraternise as they had done in the trenches'. In 1923 the Institute was opened by Lord Chesham, a member of the Cavendish family, then the Brindle Estate owner, who had donated the site for a recreation room with a bowling green and tennis court. The original building fell into disrepair and the bowling green and tennis courts were also lost. A new wooden structure, known as Brindle Village Hall was erected in 1982. This was replaced by the current stone building, Brindle Community Hall, in 2006. The Hall and open space remain the focus for recreation and social activities within the village and local community.
