The park was constructed as a memorial to those who fell during World War I and officially opened as Wyndham Park during 1924. Situated alongside a section of the river Witham, the park forms part of a picturesque riverside walk which meanders its way from one side of the town to the other. The park provides facilities which accommodate the recreational needs of a broad range of visitors - space for people to walk, socialise, contemplate, play and visitors can be assured of a good experience. The park benefits from the support of the Wyndham Park Forum, a collective of enthusiastic stakeholders and volunteers who assist in the management and maintenance of this beautiful space.
